How the Adoption Process Works

Adopting a bird from 77Exotic Birds is a wonderful and rewarding experience. We follow a careful and thoughtful process to ensure that both you and the bird are the perfect match. Here’s how it works:

  1. Step 1: Review Available Birds – Browse our list of available birds to see if there’s a match for you.
  2. Step 2: Complete the Adoption Application – Fill out our online adoption application so we can get to know you better and ensure you’re prepared for the responsibilities of bird ownership.
  3. Step 3: Home Visit – Our team may schedule a home visit to ensure your living space is suitable for the bird you wish to adopt.
  4. Step 4: Adoption Approval – Once everything checks out, we’ll approve your adoption and arrange a pickup or delivery of your new companion!

We want to make sure every adoption is a success, so we will be with you every step of the way.

Adoption Requirements

  • You must be at least 21 years old to adopt.
  • You need to have a stable and secure living environment suitable for a bird.
  • All members of the household must be in agreement with adopting a bird.
  • Bird cages, food, and toys must be provided by the adopter.
  • We do not adopt out birds as gifts or to individuals who will not be the primary caregivers.

Once you complete the adoption process, we will provide support and guidance to ensure a smooth transition for your new bird.
